poetry on canvas
May 6th, 2007 by indigo-daisy
I came across this site called “Olivebranch Network” which is a blogging group consisting
of mostly Iraqi bloggers. The posts are a way for them to reach out to the world in hopes of a better understanding of who they are and how they long for a simple life which includes what all humans deserve, to have love, knowledge, prosperity and peace.
One of the bloggers is an artist who goes only by the screen name “Baghdad Artist”. One day I would love to be able to purchase one of the paintings as they are so beautiful. The images flow as if words were spilling right out of a poets tablet onto the painted canvas. Each painting speaks a different message and while looking upon them you can perceive a certain amount of pain. However, they all seem to rise above the pain and you can see that there is also a great feeling of love and hope.
The one I chose for this post is called “Flowing Journey” which has a mystic aurora to it and feels somewhat spiritual. I love gazing through the many paintings that are posted on the site as they give me a sense of peace.

Wow. I am so glad I stopped by. Love the feel of your blog and am so thankful for the tip on this Iraqi blog. Thank you.
Peace.
Hi I-D Hon,
You are a very compassionate human being and if the world had more people like YOU in it, I wouldn’t have to worry about it the way I do right now.
Take care and I’m glad that you were able to connect to your peaceful place.
