advocating peace الدعوة الى السلام

I first learned about Marla Ruzicka through Iraqi blogger اود اولا ان علم marla ruzicka العراقي من خلال المدون Salam Pax سلام سلام after American troops invaded Iraq in March of 2003. بعد ان غزت القوات الامريكية العراق في اذار / مارس من عام 2003. 
Here was this young American girl literally going door to door inquiring about casualties resulting from US and coalition military operations. هنا كان هذا الشاب الاميركي حرفيا الذهاب فتاة من الباب الى الباب الاستفسار عن الخسائر الناجمة عن الولايات المتحدة وعمليات التحالف العسكرية. Marla was a genuine peace maker and Iraqis soon learned to trust her. Marla كان صانع سلام حقيقي وسرعان ما علمت العراقيين الى الثقة بها. No one else was asking or even cared about the fate of their family members whose only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. لا أحد آخر يسأل او حتى يهتم مصير افراد اسرهم الذين كان يجري فقط الجريمة في المكان غير المناسب فى الوقت غير المناسب.
Marla was my hero. وكان بطل marla بلدي. She was young, fearless and seemed to have a heart bigger than the universe. واعربت عن الشباب ، fearless ويبدو وكأن له قلب أكبر من الكون. Single handedly, she took on the American government and insisted that they not only keep track of the deaths of innocent victims caught in the crossfire’s of war, but compensate the families for their losses as well. واحد متوازن ، وقالت انها اتخذت الحكومة الامريكية واصرت على انها لا تتبع وفاة الضحايا الابرياء وقعوا في تبادل اطلاق النار للحرب ، ولكنه تعويض اسر لحق بهم من اضرار ايضا.
When Marla died in 2005 from a car bomb, my hope for peace in Iraq was crushed. Marla عندما توفى فى عام 2005 من انفجار سيارة مفخخة ، وامل من اجل السلام فى العراق وسحق. Marla was supposed to be invincible. Marla وكان من المفترض ان لا يقهر. She was the very essence of all things good and good is suppose to triumph over all. وقالت انها جوهر كل شيء جيد وحسن افترض هو الانتصار على الاطلاق. How then could I possibly go on believing in peace when what was good had succumbed to what was bad? ثم كيف يمكن لي ان اذهب ربما اعتقادا منها في السلام على ما هو جيد عندما كان يستسلم الى ما كان سيئا؟ 
The foundation called ودعت المءسسه CIVIC مدني (The Campaign for Innocent Victims in Conflict) which Marla founded, however, did not fade away after her death. (الحملة من اجل الضحايا الابرياء فى الصراع (الذي marla على اسس سليمة ، ومع ذلك ، لم تتبدد بعد وفاتها. It continues on today as if Marla herself is still there pushing them on. وهي تواصل اليوم على marla نفسه كما لو كان لا يزال هناك على دفعها. This gives me renewed hope that her love lives on and peace is still possible. وهذا يتيح لي أن تجدد الأمل على حياة لحب والسلام لا يزال ممكنا.
I may not have the guts or the calling to go door to door in Iraq like Marla did, but there are things that I can do right from very my own living room that can make a difference in the world. انني قد لا تكون لها الاحشاء او استدعاء للذهاب من الباب الى الباب في العراق مثل marla ، إلا أن هناك امور يمكن ان افعله للغاية من الحق في بلدي غرفة المعيشة التي يمكن ان تحدث فرقا في العالم. Like blogging for peace and spreading the word about organizations like CIVIC. مثل المدونات من اجل السلام ونشر كلمة عن منظمات مثل المدنيه.
If you would like to take part in advocating peace, CIVIC is currently campaigning to limit the use of US made cluster bombs. اذا اردت ان تشارك في الدعوة الى السلام والمدنيه في الوقت الراهن حملة للحد من استخدام الولايات المتحدة قنابل عنقوديه. Though intended for the battlefield, these cluster bombs often end up in civilian neighborhoods causing death and injury to innocent men, women and children. وان كان يقصد بها لساحة المعركه ، هذه القنابل العنقوديه غالبا ما ينتهي بهم الامر في الاحياء المدنيه مما ادى الى مقتل واصابة الابرياء من الرجال والنساء والاطفال. They are considered to be one of the worlds most indiscriminate and deadly weapons. وهي تعتبر واحدة من اكثر العوالم العشوائي والاسلحة الفتاكه. Similar to minefields, the unexploded cluster “duds” left behind pose a constant threat to innocent civilians for years to come. مماثلة لحقول الالغام ، عنقوديه غير منفجره "الفاشلون" تركت وراءها تشكل تهديدا مستمرا للمدنيين الابرياء لسنوات قادمة.
