twilight crepúsculo
a mystical state un estado místico
between sleep and awake entre el sueño y despierto
is it real? ¿es real? is it not? ¿no es así?
so much to anticipate tanto para anticipar
the sky turns hues of indigo El cielo gira tonos de índigo
street lights glow Calle luces se iluminan
the river flows las corrientes del Río
muffled voices linger by hace sordo de voces persisten
whispers of music in the breeze susurros de la música en la brisa
carts clatter on cobblestone streets carros de ruido en calles de adoquín
today’s masterpiece washed away hoy la obra maestra de lavado
enticing flavors from a nearby cafe tentadores sabores cerca de un café
meld with the vineyards sweet bouquet combinación con los viñedos dulce aroma
every ally has its treasure cada aliado tiene su tesoro
masters speak through marble eyes Masters hablar a través de los ojos de mármol
and have been witnessed y han sido testigos de
through these walls of stone a través de estas paredes de piedra
the city has much to tell la ciudad tiene mucho que decir

stars look down on lambent piazza’s estrellas mirar hacia abajo en la plaza de Lambent

This poem was inspired by the above picture of the Ponte Vecchio which I took in Florance Italy the summer before last. Este poema fue inspirada por encima de la imagen del Ponte Vecchio que tomé Florance Italia en el verano antes de la última. It is the place I met my husband going on 30 years ago. Es el lugar conocí a mi marido va a hace 30 años.
