nostalgic saturday

My younger sister and I garbed in our pie pan hats and purses, ready to go for a stroll with the baby.
We kept ourselves entertained for hours on end playing with dolls and dressing up in moms old high heels and dresses.
Funny how I remember that picture in the back gournd. It was of an old German folk song which my dad used to sing. I wish I could remember the lyrics, but they are long gone from my memory.
A great memory! I played with dolls for a lot of years - unitl I moved into cubby houses which I built throughtout the house, and the block!
Did you use your mom’s clothes or did you have a dress-up box?
We had a dress up box that my mom made for us which had a lot of her old dresses and shoes in. It didn’t take much to keep us entertained.

Other than Barbie, I tended to play more with my stuffed-animals. I dressed them up, but don’t really remember ever playing dress-up myself. That’s a sweet picture!
Thank you Pita =) As I had two boys, I played a lot of stuffed-animals with them while they were growing up. My youngest son I’m sure had over 50 including all the beanie babies.
