magic moment - reflection

While working on putting together a slide show of old pictures for my mom and dads anniversary this summer, I have spent a lot of time looking at these old photos.
It has had somewhat of a healing effect on me. Like I am able to look at my mom and see her for the first time as the young women she was, the same woman she now is, with hopes and dreams and love and compassion.
She is so looking forward to having us come home this summer, to have us all there around her. I now know that wonderful comfortable feeling of having all your children in one place and under the same roof.
I look at old photos of my parents and think “what were they like back then, what dreams did they have” tis funny how time moves, my mother says in her mind she is still that age, and not the grey haired lady we are used to…
I too am as young in my mind as the day I married. It’s a good thing that helps keep me feeling healthy in both mind and body.
