My number two son will leaving on Tuesday to stay with my number one son and his girlfriend in Palo Alto California for a month. Mon numéro deux fils de quitter le mardi de rester avec mon numéro un fils et sa petite amie à Palo Alto en Californie pour un mois.
I had to get in some good one on one time before he leaves so spent the day playing Scrabble and Nintendo Wii. J'ai dû prendre quelques bonnes une fois sur un avant qu'il ne quitte afin passé la journée à jouer Scrabble et Nintendo Wii. He kicked my butt in everything, but it was so much fun spending time with him. Tomorrow we will go for lunch together and since it has been so hot, a milk shake sounds nice. Il a donné des coups de pied dans mon bout à bout de tout, mais il est tellement agréable de passer du temps avec lui. Demain, nous irons ensemble pour le déjeuner et comme il a été si chaud, un milk-shake, sons sympa.
He is going to be dearly missed when he leaves and the house will seem so empty without him. Il va être très cher à manquer l'occasion de son départ et la maison semble aussi vide sans lui.
He is quite lucky to have an older brother who really wants to spend time with him, and a girlfriend in-law who goes out of her way to make him feel comfortable and at home during his stay. It isn’t all fun and games though at big brothers. Much of the trip will be spent preparing for the SAT’s as big brother wants to increase his chances of getting a good scholarship. Il est tout à fait la chance d'avoir un frère aîné qui veut vraiment passer du temps avec lui, et une petite amie en droit qui va de sa façon de lui faire sentir à l'aise et à la maison au cours de son séjour. Ce n'est pas tous les amusement et jeux mais à grands frères. Une grande partie du voyage sera consacré à la préparation de la SAT comme grand frère veut accroître ses chances d'obtenir une bonne bourse.
The next time I will see him will be at my parents home in Minneapolis for the big anniversary celebration. La prochaine fois que je vois sera à mes parents d'accueil à Minneapolis pour la grande célébration. Convinced hubby to make the trip with me so that was another magic moment for me! Convaincue mari à faire le voyage avec moi, alors c'était un autre moment magique pour moi!
I like that term: “girl-friend in-law”. J'aime bien cette expression: "petite amie en droit". I can think of several people I can now apply to them as being in-laws. Je ne peux penser à plusieurs personnes, je peux maintenant s'appliquer à eux comme étant en-lois.
It is great that your boys have such a great relationship. Il est remarquable que vos garçons ont une telle relation. After I married & moved away, I attempted to form a relationship w/my sister & had her come stay with us a few times for a long weekend, but the times we were together were always akward and strained. Après je me suis mariée et se sont éloignés, j'ai tenté de former une relation avec ma soeur et venir a son séjour avec nous un peu de temps pour un long week-end, mais le temps nous étions ensemble ont toujours été tendues et akward. The one good time I remember was when she had just gotten her learners-permit and I let her drive me around… that was a good day. L'un bon moment je me souviens à ce moment-là elle avait juste obtenu de ses élèves de permis et je lui en voiture autour de moi… qui a été une bonne journée.
I kind of coined a new phrase =) She is a permanent member of our family and quite a lovely soul she is. Je genre de inventé une nouvelle expression =) Elle est un membre permanent de notre famille et une très belle âme, elle est. The boys have been good friends since the youngest was born. Les garçons ont été de bons amis depuis le plus jeune est née. I am 14 years older than my younger sister, and even though I love her to death, she is more like my niece than a sister. J'ai 14 ans de plus que ma petite sœur, et même si je l'aime à mort, elle ressemble plus à ma nièce que une soeur. I moved to the other side of the country when she was little. J'ai déménagé à l'autre bout du pays quand elle était petite.
