magic moment - all in one “Gulp”
Jul 28th, 2008 by indigo-daisy
The day my husband called me at work about receiving Treasures from Baghdad …life for a moment seemed surreal…like it just stopped all of a sudden to take a breath…for soon the universe was about to open up and change everything all at once…
That evening I sat in front of my computer and had this strong feeling that my favorite Sufi Poet Daniel Abdal-Hayy Moore just might have the perfect poem to put my soul at ease.
When I clicked on his sight…alas…no new poem. My husband called me away for a moment, and when I sat back down and looked up at the screen…I was stunned, there in front of me was a new poem. I don’t even recall clicking the refresh button.
Ahhhhhhh and it was titled "Gulp" …
It starts out..
Everything all at once takes a pause
then resumes again
How beautiful and perfect is that! And towards the end…
And there and on both and all sides
is Allah and there He on all sides also isn’t
At that moment, I knew all was meant to be…and I truly felt at peace.

Sometimes the synchronicties are astounding - what a wonderful poem to receive to capture your expereince.
Ooh, love the colors in the picture!!
sometimes the universe just comes together, what lovely words and a fitting tribute to the beginning of this new journey, i’m so excited for you, can’t wait to hear of your adventures with your new housemates xo
ta CoW, whenever synchronicity lines up, it feels like I am going in the right direction.
I couldn’t sleep the other night Pita and was playing around in photoshop. Glad you like it =)
Love when the universe comes together Kyles, hope it continues.
There are moments in time when we are given a gift that we know will change our life. These gifts always come with unknowns and challenges that raise uncertainty. I love to turn to writings that soothes me, also. Your poem is beautiful…and your peace.
One more reason to sit in silence isn’t it, as often these are the times when we learn to recognize our gifts.
miracle ..miracle everywhere.
