the road to shambala

In 1973 the rock band Three Dog Night released a song called Shambala. I just heard it pop up again on an episode of the television series LOST.
The lyrics to the song were written by American poet Daniel Moore who became a Sufi Muslim in 1970 and now goes by the name Abd al-Hayy Moore.
