On my drive back and forth to work, I like to listen to National Public Radio which is an independent radio station supported by private donations. على بلدي تدفع جيءه وذهابا الى العمل ، وانا احب الاستماع الى الاذاعة العامة الوطنية التي هي محطة اذاعيه مستقلة بدعم من هبات خاصة.

The following is a video clip about a 16 month old baby that drowned in the family’s swimming pool. فيما يلى شريط فيديو كليب عن طفل عمره 16 شهرا آن لقوا مصرعهم غرقا في بركة للسباحه الاسرة. It is estimated that the baby was without a heart beat for close to two hours. ومن المقدر ان الطفل كان دون قلب فازت لقريبة من ساعتين.
Amazingly the baby survived and is now a perfectly healthy toddler with no signs of brain damage or retardation. المدهش الطفل على قيد الحياة ويعيش الان في كامل صحتها مع طفل ليس هناك ما يشير الى تلف الدماغ او تخلف.

This is a very touching story about a soldier on his second tour in Iraq, who befriended and nursed an abused dog back to health. وهذا وضع في غاية لمس قصة عن احد الجنود على ولايته الثانية في جولة في العراق ، من befriended وnursed المعتدي الكلب العودة الى الصحة. He named the dog Nubs because the poor thing had his ears cut off, apparently on purpose to make him more alert. وقال انه اسم الكلب الألباب لأن الفقراء شيء قد قطع اذنيه ، على ما يبدو لغرض جعله أكثر فى حالة تأهب قصوى. I have followed many presidential campaigns throughout the years, and never has a candidate so inspired me like Barack Obama. ولقد تابعت العديد من الحملات الرءاسيه على مدار السنوات الماضية ، ولم يحدث أن واحد المرشحين بحيث اوحت لي مثل باراك اوباما.
I sat and listened to Barack speak for the first time on Tuesday as he addressed 18,000 cheering supporters in Madison Wisconsin. جلست واستمعت الى باراك في الكلام لاول مرة على وجهها الثلاثاء الى 18000 هتاف المؤيدين ويسكونسن في ماديسون. When I was first introduced to meditation, I started by focusing on a Mandala, a sacred form of geometry which is intended to draw your focus to its center. عندما كنت لاول مرة الى التأمل ، بدأت بالتركيز على mandala ، مقدس شكل من اشكال الهندسه الذي يهدف الى التركيز على أوجه مركزها.

I first learned about Marla Ruzicka through Iraqi blogger Salam Pax after American troops invaded Iraq in March of 2003. اود اولا ان علم marla ruzicka من خلال المدون العراقي سلام باكس بعد ان غزت القوات الامريكية العراق في اذار / مارس من عام 2003. Here was this young American girl literally going door to door inquiring about casualties resulting from US and coalition military operations. هنا كان هذا الشاب الاميركي حرفيا الذهاب فتاة من الباب الى الباب الاستفسار عن الخسائر الناجمة عن الولايات المتحدة وعمليات التحالف العسكرية.
