Just to show how close my litle park is to the Las Vegas Strip, I captured this view where you can actually see the Stratosphere Casino in the distance. Juste pour montrer à quel point mon petit parc est à Las Vegas Strip, je saisis ce point de vue où l'on peut effectivement voir le casino Stratosphere au loin.

It has been so hot lately that it’s been difficult to get out and walk at night. So one morning last weekend, my husband woke me up early and asked if I wanted to go for a morning stroll at the park. Il a été dernièrement si chaud qu'il a été difficile d'en sortir et de marcher la nuit. Ainsi, un matin le week-end dernier, mon mari m'a réveillé tôt et a demandé si je voulais aller le matin pour une promenade au parc.

When I went to visit my family in Baghdad, they gave me this picture book depicting the pride and beauty of Iraq. It is my hope that the pride and beauty will some day be restored. Lorsque je suis allé visiter ma famille à Bagdad, ils m'ont donné ce livre d'images illustrant la fierté et la beauté de l'Iraq. Il est mon espoir que la fierté et la beauté un jour être restaurée.

Caught this little guy during his lunch break lazily chewing on a branch. Pris ce petit gars au cours de sa pause déjeuner à mâcher paresseusement sur une branche.
They must get use to having people around in the park, because he just kept doing what he was doing as I snapped this picture. The informational markers along the trails in the Wetlands Park identify these birds as Gambling Quail. Les marqueurs d'information le long des sentiers dans les zones humides du parc identifier ces oiseaux comme le jeu Quail. The closest I found on a Google search was Gamble Quail, so maybe these particular Quail have a Las Vegas twist. Le plus proche, j'ai trouvé sur une recherche Google a été Gamble Quail, de manière peut-être ces cailles ont une torsion de Las Vegas.
They aren’t strangers to this park at all and you’re almost guaranteed to see a few on each visit [...] Ils ne sont pas étrangers à ce parc à tous et vous avez presque garanti à voir un peu à chaque visite [...]

The sky was slightly overcast with a soft warm breeze that rustled through the leaves of the grasses and trees. Le ciel était légèrement couvert avec une douce brise chaude rustled que par les feuilles des graminées et des arbres.
We walked silently enjoying the sounds of water trickling in a nearby creek or the sounds of our footsteps on the gravel path. Nous avons marché silencieusement en appréciant les sons de gouttes d'eau dans un ruisseau à proximité ou les sons de nos pas sur le chemin de gravier.
So many little creatures live here and we look forward to seeing them [...] Donc beaucoup de petites créatures vivent ici et nous attendons avec impatience de les voir [...]
